Doesn't this look just say......"When are we going to update my page Mommy? You should be online shopping, not working."
Enough about my guilt and sad Rex looks. Recently, My husband (Matt) and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. Although we've been married for 8 years, we've actually been together for over 13 (we dated for about 6 years before we got married). I have always wanted to have professional pictures together. We tried a portrait studio around 3-4 years ago and I was a bit unhappy with the results.
I had pretty much given up on this idea until I saw Story Photographers. Story Photographers consists of Ashley and David Stephenson, a young couple married since 2006. Ashley was originally a student at Duke's Divinity school who moonlighted at a photography studio on the side. Eventually she realized that she wanted to pursue photography full time. Thus, Story Photographers was born. I first saw her photographs from my friends Lara and Ben's engagement shoot. I ended up mentioning to Matt how much I liked the pictures. I told him I was thinking of inquiring about a shoot. He said, "Whatever you want..." Matt should know better by now, I took that, ran with it and made an appointment.
We chose Borden House/Fred Fletcher park which is actually where we had our reception. It had significance for us and we had a very pretty day to wander around.

I'll only post one pic but you can view the rest of the blogged photos here. Ashley capture everything I wanted and more, our love and our humor. I can't wait to see all the pics that I'll get on a CD later. Story Photographers is definitely a wonderful company run by wonderful people.
